This question has been asked a number of times, here is couple threads asking the same question.

How long did you have to wait for your first download?

and

How long before your first sale?

I'm afraid this is not a "job" for the faint of heart. Just don't give up mate: you'll be rewarded on many different levels

Good luck.

The more useful your photos, the faster and more often they will sell. I looked at your 15 images, and most of them look like photos of random stuff... a stack of logs, a waterfall, some tree bark. Those aren't going to be your strong sellers. The soldier walking away from the camera is a nice image and the one I see with the most potential. Next time you pick up your camera try to set up a series of images like that. The most successful stock photographers don't go out and take pictures, they go out and make pictures.

Good luck!

I just started uploading photos here again. It was about 3 or so weeks in the Q, and a week or so for my first sale I believe...I've had 2 so far. one for .27 and the other for .25. I'm now planning for early retirement. lol

Don't be discouraged. It just takes time. Focus on making more content, and have fun with it...Box5's advice is really good.

You have to be much tougher, and very specific with your keywording.

What the guys said, and, along with making good and stock pictures, which is a must, if you can't keyword it properly, well, it can never really sell! Work on it, improve both the skills. If I were looking for a tranquil scene picture, should that picture contain, in general terms, keywords as: stress, distracted, anxiety? I suppose it's possible, given certain circumstances and specific needs, but the point is to sell as many pictures as many times as possible, so the target area is a general one, not a very specific, one-off-to-be-used.

My first photo is sold exactly 1 week after I uploaded it, got $2 for a XL file... and for quite a while, it is sold virtually every working day (or a few times a day). That was my only photo in the portfolio back then. I uploaded more photos after that.

That photo is my best selling one. And I no longer upload my best shots here.

Hi everyone! I am 3 days old here in iStock.

I think I am a lucky guy! I have only 3 days after my first upload and in the first day of my portafolio I got my first download!

I am very happy!

I took about 7 weeks after my first accepted photo to get a DL.  It takes a while...and I wouldn't get discouraged...just keep at it.
