How is it going all vectorians??

I have less DL but more $$ than January (iStock alone, not including GI)

Still not looking good... new files hardly get any views, and when they have few downloads, they went stagnant again...

I seem to get more action on newer files through the Partner Programs. I'd be interested to find out why that is. Different search engine? Different purchase options? Less sophisticated palates?

Having said this, I did actually get a download on a file I uploaded within the past 3 months PLUS over one view on a number of others. Progress!

I have hardly no views on new stuff uploaded since a year back. Is it worth uploading new vectors anymore?

Good question, we really need someone from HQ to shed some light on the sales trend... especially for the exclusives!

Worst month in years...

vs Feb 2013 downloads - 54%  earnings - 48%

Would be nice to get some word from HQ.....?

I think istock have lost market share, so there are less buyers here. Couple that with tons more files being uploaded (upload limit lifted) views and downloads are being spread thinner and thinner.

I think the main reason is dysfunctional BM and lifted upload limit .

istock should rethink their values, and how to rely on content to attract buyers,
Rather than reimbursing relaxation upload limit and low-cost strategy .

My sales are so low now that it may be worth going back to independent. The problem is that it's impossible to predict how much the income would drop here at iStock... and I have no idea how the other agencies are doing nowadays, so maybe they wouldn't compensate for the lower income from iStock.

Going independent and then make even less money than I am now would be pretty depressing... :P

Isn't it the common fear of long time exclusives?

Yeah, I guess so. I've been thinking about going independent for about a year now. :P

Assuming I would get the exact number of downloads when going independent I will lose about 43% of my iStock income just because of the lower royalty. And getting the same number of downloads is not very realistic so I would probably go down quite a bit more than that... maybe 60 percent? 80? Guess I'll have to wait until I'm close to zero downloads here before it's worth the risk... :P
