Come on Istock, lets get the ball rolling for the low rez approvals.

Is there a dedicated inspector for the video side or are the photo inspectors pulling double duty? Plus they have 30k images in the cue.

We got like 3 weeks till the site opens and I need to mail my clips in. I got 7 clips up and 2 approved, And at this rate Ill never I wont have many at launch.

Its just so tedious to make the low rez and upload then wait... and wait.. then send in the final clip.

Which is why I don't bother with the low res version. I'm uploading full res versions as fast as I can. I had about 10 get approved about midnight last night. I'm uploading a dozen more now. Just go for it.

Well at 450mb - 650mb a clip, its not so quick for me. I cant even get the approved ones to upload, it never even starts uploading. I just want to get a bunch approved so I can burn a DVD and mail it quick. I've got 2 approved, 5 waiting, several more to be uploaded for approval, and many more in the pipeline to be created.

Todd must be living next door to iStock. Takes about 15 minutes for a 7 meg approval clip to get up there. I'm not about to waste time trying to upload full rez.

I wish I did. LOL I open 4 or 5 browser windows and have multiple files uploading at the same time. Doesn't make it any faster uploading .... but it means I can set it in motion and then leave for a few hours. I get back in time to enter keywords, etc. ... and then start 4 or 5 more uploading. Its still a very slow process ... but I'm trying for about 10 clips a day between now and the Grand Opening. Of course that is just uploading. How many will be approved by then is another matter. LOL

Are you skipping the approval process?

Istock doesnt have a problem with that? Everything I read was like "Dont upload unless approved" Are they just letting it slide?

Did you read the text on the UPLOAD page? Here is item number two:

".....2. You can submit the full-resolution video for inspection. We require Quicktime movies compressed with PHOTO JPEG (or MJPEG-A or MJPEG-B if interlaced). If approved, the clip will appear on the site without any additional steps. You can upload the clip here, or mail the full-resolution video to us on CD or DVD....."
