I see my upload limit is now 20 for photos, infact I now see I'm minus 4 and its just clicked over from 5 and will be another 11 hrs. before it changes to 3 whats going on ?

I also seem to be locked out of the ability to upload video clips.

I was under the impression that there was an urgency to have video clips uploaded for the opening of the video section in September.

I would have thought that the two would be seperate but by what I am seeing now it looks as if video clips count in the 20 file upload limit.

or am I missing out on a way to upload video seperate from photo.

is there someone out there that can clarify what the position is.

First, patience is a virtue. Customer Relations will respond in a reasonable time. In the meantime, since the answer will benefit everyone...

The upload limits for non-exclusives were recently lowered. When the limit was lowered you must have had more photos uploaded than the new limit so, technically you are now over the limit.

Video uploads do not count against your limit. Unfortunately, for the time being, the upload page automatically counts your recent photo uploads and displays that message when you hit or exceed the limit.

There is a way to continue uploading videos, though not an obvious one. On the intial upload pages there is a box with the heading Contributor Status that contains info about the types of files you are allowed to upload. Clicking the "Approved" link beside the "Video" label will bypass the "you've exceeded the upload limit" and allow you to continue uploading videos.
