I'm just putting the feelers out there to see if anyone in the General Seattle area, and well the Pacific Northwest to boot would be interested in monthly photostrolls and social meetups.

Ras and I haven taken part in a monthly flickr meetup in the past. They've always been fun. We were talking about it the other night and were wondering how many people would actually be interested in attending something like this.

These would not be monthly Mini'Lypse events. These would be social gatherings, bring your camera for some snapshots and socializing with fellow iStockers. If you get some stock out of it... super, if you don't well that's just fine too.

What we would try to do is pick some interesting places to go visit in the Puget Sound area, we all meetup have some lunch then go stroll our destination and take some shots. These meetups will be free, as in you don't need to buy a ticket. You just show up and pay your own lunch bill. Easy peasy.

I know I've talked to a few locals already who have expressed interest, but I'd like to see if there are others who would like to jump on the chance to meet up with fellow iStockers in a low-key social atomsphere. So lemme know

I'm super happy to see that we have some interest in this. I don't want to put this group up on Meetup.com because, well... we'll end up with people who don't understand the whole iStock thing.

Okay... Ras and I are putting together a website just for this little dealy.

Since these aren't Mini'Lypses, we are calling them "Micro'Lypses" instead. So the domain is purchased, and we are awaiting the name servers to refresh so we can load some junk into the new domain's trunk.
