Update - thanks for your assistance. A friend of my client has provided a puppy photo to scan for the project.
In case you have a Shar Pei puppy on hand and want to add to iStock's collection - it might help with your setup to know client's issues with current selection:
a. did not want puppy to be wearing clothes or collar
b. did not like props
c. did not like background
d. no copy space
So, as with many stock topics, the more generic the better. Thanks again for your responses.
