I meant the first post or so.. to be basically an uncouth and tasteless joke. But, seriously... since there are SOOOOO many pretty/hot girls talking on cell phones, in nature, and on computers, etc..... I wonder how an "average-looking" girl would do? Seriously... seems like there are so many pretty girl clips and stills that "average" but with character might really stand out and do well. You know? Like someone who looks like "most" women do.... so that average viewers can relate to them in TV spots etc? Just curious. I might just see if I can find some average looking women and do the same sorts of shots just to see how an average gal clip performs compared to the HOT ones. I bet we might all be surpised how well they'd do.

Tuning down your joke, huh? From ugly to average looking? Well, why don't you do it? Find a girl that looks average to you and bring her character out in photos, she even might look beautiful to you then. Just dont tell her that you've chosen her because she looks like average girl. Or do tell her and post back here...

Hehe, well I think you juss wanna keep it real and genuine. Don't avoid shooting someone if they seem unnattractive, becuase a good photographer with good lighting can help a lot. 'Average' girls are beautiful anyways. And I htink the world wants to see beauty. Unfortunately, the definition of beauty is getting more and more distorted.

I gotta say that when I was a kid ugly people actually existed but they were allowed to exist. They knew that they were ugly for the most part, (because junior high is a merciless battleground) and I knew some people who went on to do some wonderful things or at the very least, be happy with who they were because they focused their energies where they would do the most good. Because of this they became beautiful.
Now nobody wants to say that anybody is ugly because it's not politically correct, the definition of beauty has narrowed and people hold out this narrow hope that someday they will wind up on a show like The Swan. The age of make the most of what you have seems to be fading fast. It's really quite sad.

I think if MOST people were really honest about what they think of themselves... we ALL think we're ugly. Even the people who're adored for their looks... secretly think the're abhorrant. I shoot to shoot models along time ago... and I was really surprised how many models I thought were absolutely gorgeous... were really very insecure and thought themselves to be "ugly".
