Red Sox
They just called up a crop of rookies that can flat out play. Clay Bucholz is a stud!

NL will be Mets, Milwaukee, and Arizona, with the Padres as the wild card. AL will have Boston, Cleveland and the Angels, with the Yankees as the wild card. Advancing to the WS will be the Mets and Boston, or San Diego and Boston, all depending on which Mets team decides to show up for the post season.

I would love to see a Mets/Boston rematch in the WS, but I honestly can't say I'd like what I think the outcome would be. The Red Sox are a solid team this year, and they could take the Mets in 5.

Yup...The Sox all the way!!! But, I would just be happy if they finished over the Team That Shall Not Be Named How about that Dustin Pedroia?!!!

Enough of this talk or I may jinx it.......off to throw some salt over my shoulder or something....

The test will be to see of the rookies can handle the heat of the playoffs ..... it seems the Angels have a good record against the BoSox ......

Brian

your prediction has a team who wears red. My favored team also wears red and it has nothing to do with their sox .. I think the Angels will take it all .....

Red Sox have better more reliable pitching, and pitching makes Champions! Sorry Angeles.....

PS the Angeles should trade Vlad to the Dodgers.
Posted Mon Sep 3, 2007 5:42PM
without Vlad's wild swing, we arent going anywhere .... the Angels discarded a player the Dodgers picked up ....

If my Cardinals don't make the NL central nod, then I'm pulling for:

NL:
1.Padres
2.Dodgers

Al:
1.Mariners
2.Angels

(though it would be so fun to watch the
Cubs choke again in a playoff opportunity)

I'm for Cleveland here. I'm sure with the Cavaliers winning the NBA Eastern Conference title when the Indians started their season, the fans will continue to rally behind their home team. With Kenny Lofton back in the lineup, now would be a good time for a repeat of some of the magic from 1995 and 1997.

My predictions:

AL east: Boston

AL central: Cleveland

AL west: LA Angels

AL wild card: Seattle

ALCS: Cleveland and Boston

NL east: NY Mets

NL central: Chicago Cubs

NL west: Arizona

NL wild card: Philly

NLCS: NY Mets and Cubs

World Series: Cleveland and Chicago Cubs

Indians in 5, slight temperature drop in hell, but not enough to indicate it will freeze.

Now if your wrong and the Cubs wins... I believe hell does freeze over and the apocalypse will be upon us. With that said if that was the was match up Indians vs Cubs.... I'm rooting for the Cubs.

The AL is set for the playoffs;

Boston

Cleveland

ANGELS

New York looks like the best contender for the Wild Card

as of tonight, no one in the NL is clenched a playoff spot

The Mets are killing me!

It's like they're just tired of playing ball. It's been really tough to watch them, and the post-season (assuming they even make it!) will not be pretty.

At least PHL and ATL have 2 more games against each other. But your right, they could miss the playoffs. What happened to the pitching and Jose Reyes? He's been in a slump except last nights 2 homers. I hope they don't play Philly in the playoffs if they make it.

Well the American League is decided: your four playoff teams are the Yankees, CrapSox, Indians, and Angels.
The National League: who cares, because the four best teams in baseball are already listed above, and there's no chance that the NL will win the World Series, regardless of who they throw out there.

I agree the NL doesn't stand chance. I think all of the AL teams are pretty equal but best case is crapsox meet YANKEES in the ALCS and Yankees kill the crapsox.
