I stopped inspecting for a time last week due to a severe head cold - it is amazing how phlegm on a computer screen looks just like the overuse of Neat image :)

Quite a few people are working on ''addressing the future'' at the moment (more soon about that, nothing to be afraid of, all about growing and managing that growth), hence explaining the Q getting a little high at this very time.

With that said, you can expect that the numbers will go down soon... as a blitz is in the works in order to take a bite out of the Q over the next two weeks.

Keep having fun guys... and thanks. wink

JJRD, I must say I enjoy and look forward to each and every one of your posts, sir.

Mere words couldn't quantify the essence that is JJ.

I simply refer to him as The Man

I guess you all must be talking about the photo queue because the vectors seem to just keep flying through. Maybe vector inspectors are immune to illness Hope yer feeling better Frank.

Ditto that G. Pimp... I imagine JJ as the Shakespeare of iStock (with a camera of course!)

I sense the Istock Inspectors will be receiving their "International All-Inclusive Non-Denominational" Holiday Bonus in the form of a "Fish-head Feeding Frenzy"

The inspectors have been great, IMO. I am a newbie but every single one of my uploads were inspected yesterday after 6 days in the cue. The 6 days I think is reasonable considering the number of inspections that need to be done and how thorough they are. This actually gives me a week to get the next batch of uploads ready -- and to make sure they are my very best work before submitting!

It´s easy - Upload at least one file per day and soon you will have acceptances (or rejections) *every* *single* *day*. Yes, it´s magic!

That is a serious point, what do the inspectors prefer, single images or a batch?

I don't mind the long queue, for that I can upload one or two everyday and therefore get the same amount inspected more or less everyday. What I do mind is the new 15 uploads per week limit. That way my portfolio here will never grow. That I really don't like. I am forever new, here.

Any one else have a photo in que longer that the advertised 7 days (as of today)?

I have one that is uninspected for 11 days and counting.  Nothing unusual about it either.  Same subject as some of my others, just a different look/angle to it.  Is this unusual or "normal"?

Not complaining, just curious.

I'm exclusive and I had several in the queue last week for 7 days and for 8 days. On the other hand, three I uploaded yesterday were approved within hours. The number of days is only an average based on numbers waiting divided by inspections - it's always going to be a bit off and depends on which inspector(s) get which batch and whether the inspectors are correctly unphlegmed (see above).

Being new here I have no idea how the system is supposed to work but the one thing I have noticed in the 3 weeks since I have started uploading is that the cue has never went down it was like 35,500 then and now it is like 45,500.  And now for me, the longest days in que is gone also so I no longer even have an anticipated date for how long my files will be in there.

It is a little discouraging for a newbie because I only have 8 little files in my portfolio and 13 waiting on inspection since last Tuesday that are Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I dont like to upload more until those are inspected until I am more sure about them being accepted (technical issues with vectors, ect. that I am getting used to.)

Anyway, if this is normal at least I wont be expecting things to speed up.  I love being here - just need to get used to being patient

Be patient, just shoot or create more files, upload only your best and the approvals and downloads will all work themselves out. I don't want to say that it's too late for christmas this year as there will always be last minute things that come up, but I dare say the majority of christmas and especially thanksgiving themed images have been purchased. Have to stay several months ahead of the Holidays. Oh well, now they're just there and ready for next year looking at it from the worst case scenario.
