I blame it on the BM algorithm. They're bound to have changed it again.

Susan, remember that large parts of Asia don't have a holiday now and there are also probably some designers who are away from their families and who are actually glad they can work from home today, like a normal day, instead of being left feeling like outcasts. My own family is away and it is good to be able to shoot and process pictures today, instead of twiddling my thumbs.

I agree.  My daughter is able to be with me this year, but some holidays travel is not possible and it would be a work day.  In fact, since I expect she will sleep until noon - here I am reading posts on Christmas morning and plan to do a little work.  LOL  And I wish all of you a great day - even if you are working.

Here's a clue: "Bah, Humbug!" smile Actually, someone had a good point about various cultures having different holidays. And I'm sure that many of us will do something today that might be considered "work" although it might just be fun, like shooting, post-processing and uploading. I've got a few in my "work" queue that I hope to move through to upload today.

Here in Turkey is a workday.
Most of the population (99%) is muslim.
Last week there are 5 days holiday because of an islamic festival but islamic and jewish holidays do not affect sales this much.

Well I downloaded a Christmas vector background yesterday. We always make our Christmas/Newyear cards ourselves, which is fun, and thanks to iStock's lovely artwork, is ... well even "funner"
