This is the next step for many of the racers in last years race, and so we are kicking things off this year with a brand new race. Here are the rules: (We are no longer accepting entries for the race ... please feel free to watch us compete!)We are no longer accepting entries ... please feel free to watch us!)We are no longer accepting entries for the race ... please feel free to drop in anytime to watch!) - The race will be 6 months long. The official start date will be Sunday, Feb 10, 2008, and the end date will be Sunday, August 10, 2008. - So, who can participate? Answer: any iStock contributor! Just site-mail me and give me your current download and upload count (whatever is posted on your page from the last update). Entries must be in NLT midnight (Calgary-time) on Saturday, Feb 9; no late entries will be accepted. - The winners of the race will be determined by the top three contributors with the highest overall download percentage increase. The "top three" winners must also have achieved at least the silver canister (at least 2,500 downloads) by the end of the race. - Please note that while iStock is supplying some swag prizes, this is NOT an official iStockphoto contest. I'm curious about the start date, doesn't the Compare site give you the starting stats (on Feb 10)? Or do you want them right now? If so, I'm at 1868 DL, 348 files.  Edit for complete details. The way we did it for the last race was we took the dl's at the time the person "joined" the race. So, that's how we'll do it this time, too. (That's why it's important to get your dls/uls in asap!!) Wowee, lots of interest so far. This is going to be fun!!! |
