Because the keywords are in that language, does it mean that the buyer came from that part of the world? I've never noticed this before.

No, it means your language got changed to Japanese or something, somewhere along the line. Switch it back in the upper right of the screen.

Your search language is set to Japanese. Go to "Control Panel" and switch it back to the English of your choice.

Thanks all - must have auto changed when I followed a google alert to one of my pics on the jp version of IS.

your language setting can change by itself if you enter the istock site via one of the localized URLs. eg, if I search for my name in google and an Italian istock link comes up and I click on it, my language setting is now italian until I change it back or I enter istock via another language link.
