![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Oct 5, 2012 5:26PM | I received a very large bump in my balance yesterday and can't trace the reason for it. It's weird. Anyway, I've written to Support, but don't know when they would get back to me. Anyone else had anything this strange? ETA: never mind, I found it. I'm just wool brained lately (Edited on 2012-10-05 17:33:28 by MilamPhotos) |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Oct 5, 2012 6:25PM | Hi Guys, hope everyone is well. Just popped in to see if anyone could help me with a sudden balance increase yesterday. I see Hope had the same issue. Hope, I can't find a reason for my increase anywhere, what was yours? Cheers Simon |

I've had a series of CC sales show up 3 days after they happened. |

Images bought using credit cards do not show up in the My_Uploads page, but do show up in the list of downloads for an image. You can search through each image to find them or use a script or application. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Oct 5, 2012 6:31PM | Thanks for the tips, ill look into it. Is this a bug that will be fixed or is it just the way it is? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Oct 5, 2012 7:18PM | so where is the script or app to find these "mystery" sales?. |

![]() Posted Fri Oct 5, 2012 7:36PM | It is worth commenting that the more people using nullplus' app and my script the worse it is for the iStock servers because for a full refresh the user has to do thousands of server calls. Each refresh is the equivalent of about 100 normal users for the period it is running which if you have enough people doing it are going to pound the iStock servers mercilously. Then again, if iStock pulled it's proverbial fingers out and actually provided the data themselves, it wouldn't be necessary to use scripts and external apps to get it. Quite frankly it is ridiculous that iStock can't provide a list to the contributor of all the sales the made in a given time period. (Edited on 2012-10-05 19:39:09 by dcdp) |
![]() ![]() Posted Sat Oct 6, 2012 4:44AM | ^ yes it is ridiculous, because it takes one SQL query to get the ordered list of all the data and then you only need to format and display it. If your database is configured as it should have been, then it should work fine without any impact on the servers. But my guess is, that they must have some weird database configuration as it takes more than 20 seconds to open a downloads page on my best selling file. If the wanted query worked like that and someone had a lot of blue flames, it would take way too long to produce a list of downloads even if you limited it to one day. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Sat Oct 6, 2012 7:22AM | We now have scripts and apps for an f5 attack on istock or at least that is probably looks like in the IT department. Tadej, you are right, I can never get stats on my old FIOTW one. I get the feeling when they designed the new site top of their list was getting pictures herefrom Getty and other things were down the list (like functionality). |
![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Sat Oct 6, 2012 4:17PM | ZERO downloads day....can't remember when that happend the last time.... |

![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Sun Oct 7, 2012 2:05AM | Fantastic, Hudson and Lauren! Britta, that's a truly beautiful Agency shot. Got back last night. Had perfect weather and made a good holiday out of it but Barcelona was sulking this time and showed her scruffiest side. Everything we decided to go and see was closed/being restored/covered in scaffolding. The bit where my face swelled up, my eyes turned red and I discovered I could get a seafood allergy, wasn't very romantic, but as John had the runs after the same meal, he wasn't too critical. I won't reccomend that restaurant to you though actually the meal was lovely at the time. Have had a steady week, well up on last year for $, up on September and August, but our stats overall look dire, even allowing for mysteryDLs not being tallied. |
