Whew! Just finished it.

Saw a note from Jean. She's almost finished with question #3.

That was a long ten minutes! I think I may be put on some kind of blacklist after my answers.
Edited because I can't even proof read two sentences.

^My take on surveys of that type is the old cliche "If you don't want the answer, then don't ask the question." Hopefully the answers in aggregate will be taken constructively if and as intended - and listened to sincerely.

Last year I was a bit afraid of the blacklist so I was kind. To be truthful there wasn't much to complain about. This year things are a bit different!

Back in Sweden. 2 am, but in thailand it s 8 am so I could not sleep and wanted to catch up with the forums instead. Have not looked at the survey yet, slight caos here after having been away 4 months and then off to Germany for the funeral of my friend on Sunday. Have to change Euro and see if I can find some black cloathes that I can get into. 4 lazy months in Thaland have not been good for my weight even if I have been eating much food and vegetables.

Construction update - Home before 10:00.... Nice change. Laid the last of the ceramic tile today. (my knees hurt, I'm too old for this sh%#.) Kitchen cabinets are supposed to start being installed tomorrow and everything is painted. Hardwood installed, sanded, stained, and urethaned. Carpet installed. Might actually move in soon. My kids were off school for March break so they have actually started moving boxes into the basement. Nice to have somewhat obedient young adult children to pitch in...
The end is in sight. A big project that has kept me from much uploading but certainly worth the effort. Will share pics someday.

Wow Dan, that was fast, I remember the pics from the start as if it were a week ago.

Nice one Dan. Is there any chance of getting SimplyCreativeConstruction over to help me?
Posted Fri Mar 15, 2013 5:11AM
That's so exciting, Dan! I really admire people who can do so much of the work themselves. I wish you all the best in your new home!
As for uploading, I've only added 9 files this year. And I don't even have a big project to use as an excuse. Just a general disillusionment with this place. I have to say, though, that the survey has given me a bit of hope.

Ok, Uncle Ebb can piss off now, 15 hours without a download is too long. I have been having this weird thing where downloads switch off over UK night for 11-12 hours for the last 3 nights, but money during the day has been good. I think someone forgot to turn my portpolio back on this morning.
Posted Fri Mar 15, 2013 6:10AM
Thanks for the cheers everyone. Doesn't feel fast for me. Uncle Ebb has been onsite for most of the construction but we did build an extra room for Aunt Flo. Hope she moves in soon.

Congrats on the progress Dan! I'm a little over-whelmed at the thought of just painting all the rooms in my house... you went and built a house! Kudos!
Lots of E+ sales lately. Haven't ventured over to the BM thread, are there any updates about how things are going?
Still haven't heard a peep form Jean -hope she's still not filling out that survey!
Welcome home Britta!

Yeah congrats Dan, that's huge. So rewarding! One word for you BTW.... "Knee pads". Ok, well 2 words. I am working on 2 houses right now, trying to fix up my parents house after 50 years of neglect so we can sell it. That one is easy-ish, sheet rocking, painting, sanding floors, installing some molding kind of stuff. Also going to start working on my house, all of the things we couldn't afford to do when we moved in. Then try to re-do the kitchen. So much to do.
No time to do photos, so part of the download problem is my own fault. The whole year has been bad, so not much motivation here either.

Take some pics of the renovation.....

Something weird just happened. I had a file deactivation notice while I was out this evening (annoying, as it was a very good seller). When I got home I signed in to istock and suddenly I find I have 10 credits showing. I've never bought any credits. Has anyone else had this happen? Could the two be connected?
Posted Fri Mar 15, 2013 4:02PM
Never heard of it happening. What was the deactivated file?
Posted Fri Mar 15, 2013 4:02PM
I have them too, that's weird.
