The original forum has been incredibly quiet for a long time and many of us have been holding our breaths waiting for registration to open. We recently found out that Rayna has been having some health issues and won't be able to continue spearheading this event. But I for one, do not want to let it die. Rayna has done quite a bit of work organizing everything and has some great models lined up. The few people that I have talked to so far (nicolesy, Renphoto, redhumv and imcdonnell) have expressed strong interest in keeping the event alive. And others have expressed willingness to help out and keep the ball rolling. So I'm stepping up to spearhead it in Rayna's absence unless anybody wants the responsibility more than I do.


I'd like to get a feel for how many people are still interested and available for the June 6-8 dates. Please let me know if you are interested in attending.

I still am planning on attending.  I have already purchased my airline ticket and was sure hoping this would not die!  I am still planning on helping with the photographer/model groupings and rotations.

I'm here, so the dates are saved, and as I mentioned previously, I'm willing to help out where needed.

Looks like we've got a decent-sized group so far ... pretty close to mini'lypse size! 

I might be interested in this.  I graduated from school and am looking for a job.  If I find a job early I probably won't be able to make it, but if you can, put my name on the "maybe" list. 


Would be nice to shoot with you guys again.  I haven't seen a bunch of you since RRI or Lindon.

Yay Jacom!!!  I'm looking forward to Denver ... I love Colorado

I'm a "probably not, but not totally sure." I'm running GTALypse in Toronto on the June 21 weekend (still a few tix available if anyone's interested!), and I think there will be a lot to do in the leadup to the event. But if you get some superfantastic locations, I might expend my last remaining Aeroplan points to fly in!

OK, it looks like we have enough photogs still interested to make an event out of this. I just talked to Rayna and the model side of the equation is pretty much taken care of. We have some great models! We are going to contact them and confirm that they are still on board. The big issue is locations... none of them have been arranged yet. So I could use everyone's ideas and suggestions. What do you think of when you hear Denver? What type of shoots would you like to do (ie: business, fitness, etc.) What type of locations would be fun to shoot in (ie: movie theater, saloon, etc.) And you Denver locals, I'm going to need your help in identifying places that fit the ideas we settle on. We only have four weeks until the event date, so we need to get started now. Shoot me your ideas asap!

I would love to do some fitness/outdoors themes.

Anything in particular? Mountainbiking, running, yoga, soccer, basketball, horseback riding, rockclimbing, hiking?

I elected to do the Toronto trip and won't be able to make this one. I know what you put together will be great and hate that I will miss it.

Here's some more specifics ... I'm mostly thinking of sports/fitness stuff I guess:


- Running (this would be easy ... we could find a nice bike trail, or even an outdoor track)


- Soccer (only if some of the models know how to play and have soccer-looking clothes/gear)


- Tennis (we'd need a tennis-court)
