I had this one rejected with a no resubmit, for copyright or trademark.

I presume this is because of the 'Eye', which in my opinion is not the main subject or the image.

Should I bother Scout with this one?

The Eye as incidental in an image is OK.

Maybe you should post full sized so that those with eagle eyes can scour the rest of the image for you.

Mind you, if it was a trademark you'd missed, the inspectors usually point it out and let you resubmit.

Maybe they're not wild on the lighting, but they'd likely have said so.

Thanks for the reply Sue

I am on holiday at the moment so the full sized image will have to wait for a few days. Normally I would put one up.  If it is something for the eagle eyed out there then surely it could be cloned out and the image would have a resubmit?

I can't tell from the photo, and I could be wrong... but I think I remember that there is British Airways logos on the cars of the Eye.  Are they visible?  That could be the issue... but I'm guessing.

I will double check that when I can, thanks.

But surely they could be cloned out? and the image resubmitted.

I think the London Eye is a little too prominently featured to be considered "incidental" in this shot...but you could take it to Scout if you disagree.

Presuming it is for the Eye, it's worth sending a ticket to scout. This was rejected with no resubmit and later overturned by scout:

Do a search and you'll see what istock considers a cityscape that takes in the London Eye as opposed to a shot of the London Eye.

It might be that the Eye is the focal point in your shot though. Maybe reshoot with the focus on the houses of parliament or with less dof.

Hi Craig

Thanks, I did shoot with the focus on Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, as I know the Eye on its own is a no-no.

regards Jo

P.S. nice picture
