Can not hear Audio Files

I get this message on every audio file:


This audio player requires Flash to be installed in this browser. If you have Flash installed please refresh the page as it did not seem to load properly. If your browser does not automatically prompt you to install the Flash player, please visit the Adobe website to obtain the free Flash player.


I have the latest version of Flash installed...


I have refreshed the page as suggested...


and still this error comes up.


I have also tried closing out the browser completely.  I have cleared chache and I have also done a full restart of my machine.


I am running the latest version of Firefox on an iMac.


Now... I have tried it in Safari and the play interface comes up just fine but when I press the Play button nothing happens.  I've let it sit and sit and sit and just nothing.


I tried researching to see if this is an already known about issue or not, and I just could not find anything (I very well could be blind though and missed in in reviewing all the pages of the AUdio forum).  Anyone that can shed some light on this by chance?  Are Audio clips just not listen-able yet? I prefer using Firefox and would hate to have to keep switching to another browser just to get it to work...
