Thanks for the insightful response. Cheers.

No problem at all. Anytime you need any assistance just add a post to what ever thread you feel like and we will do our best to figure it out.

I don't really need to point out that my angst stemmed from cutting back supplier services, so that employees can mingle. This is the thread for the announcement. I know that discussing this with me is neither productive nor convenient for yourself, or istock as a whole. I know that saying what im saying isn't popular amongst the people that already belong to the istock pack, but every now and then it just needs to be said regardless...

Now THAT'S service!

I regret to say that responses like this only serve to amplify the potential schism between the what could be seen as a clique and the rest of us, both buyers and contributors. Though probably not placed in the best thread dchapman is far from alone in his thoughts on service levels.

You hit it on the head with your second sentence. That is my point. This isn't a thread about anything other than upload limits.

Mmm ... A chocolate Malta. Is there such a thing? Appears not. But there should be.

Things Maltese. And the answer is ...

And now you should halt-a. It's not your fault-a, just take it with a grain of salt-a.

Funny how that works, he/she also hit the nail on the head with his first sentence. And in true form, it is neither commented on or acknowledged.

Whatever man, you have just done a commendable job of reinforcing absolutely everything I've been saying.

Sorry I don't have any malta puns to lighten the mood. ETA: i do have one from a movie that this thread reminds me of...

Okay, do you have anything related to the upload limits to add?

Friend, I understand that you've got some legitimate complaints. I think Lobo's point (and if I'm misreading the man, he'll correct me) is that this thread is not the place to address them. This is a thread primarily about upload limits (and secondarily about Malta-themed puns). If you'd like to discuss corporate policies, downtime, load times, or any of the other points you've brought up, lets start a new thread about it.

No, I am not so sure it does need to be said as I see this as a little unfair, disjointed, even self-serving from the OP. Honestly, it really sounds like your beef here is that you are ticked off and wanting to blame iS for you losing a contract. Yet, I think venting here within this specific topic is not helpful for you nor anyone and honestly, your "angst" is kind of silly to the reader. So much so much so that I bet my new frined Emerson will be asking "Who is John Galta... damn, he beat me to it).

Look, you're having a bad day (or week) - we all have those. But admins/inspectors/contribs should be able to come together wherever and whenever they want. That is undeniably what you, I, and 40,000+ others are apart of. It's a well oiled machine that makes this place so beautiful. I learned that by being around so many Inspectors at Red Rockalypse II back in April. And dude, you have 15 ULs. Why are you concened about anything at this stage of your game when it comes to being a contributor (but I will say that those 15 files are pretty impressive; you can really be successful here if you want). Oh, and don't you remember signing that agreement that stated that you cannot bitch about contributor services until you reach 30 files ? Maybe you should take it to customer support.

/I'm becoming slightly frustrated just reading this thread, never mind actually contributing to it. There is a very logical link between the complaints being viewed and the original post. It's fairly obvious that 'dchapman' is pointing out that the upload limits being changed due to an effective 'staff holiday' is showing a somewhat unprofessional move on istock's part, surely you can see that??? (And i know it happens all the time but if anything that makes it worse.) On top of this dpchapman not being affected by this change in limits also further validates the argument, as he is not biased to the news, but rather a detached observer.

Maybe it is just me, but i don't think a forum admin should be responding to a very reasonable complaint with sarcasm and smugness, especially when the member complaining has indicated that they are a BUYER as well!

So there's no chocolate Malta, but is there a Malcheese pizza? Inquiring minds want to know. Perhaps one of our friends in Malta can report back with a woo yay or nay.

LOL, well, he said chi, but after many conversations, I feel reasonably comfortable saying that chi was not the only thing flowing. Seriously, that guy just looks at life differently -- I love that!

Honestly, anytime a buyer has a complaint is should be looked at seriously, I agree this might not be the place to complain about it, but let's not beat up the people who are feeding us.

As for exclusives being in a "club":  I worked my butt off to even get accepted to istock, and worked even harder to become exclusive, honestly, I'm proud to be exclusive and enjoy the perks that comes with that decision.
