Well, since I have no pies to pimp (will that be next week's PTOTW?), good one, Rob. I'd like to add something I've seen so many times on other forums:

Do not think you can write whatever you want and all will be okay because you added a smiley.

I've seen thread replies (not here yet) where the writer comes off as a complete ass at some else's expense, then follow it with a smiley. Later they turn around and claim they were just kidding "didn't you see the smiley?" Emoticons are great for helping people understand intentions, they aid communication, but they can't be used undo the written word or somehow make an insult palatable.

lols, am sorry that I speak my mind at times, will attempt to remember this is a global community. Text is easily taken way out of context at times and it's hard to judge the yard stick unless you are a regular forum dweller, which I am now. Saying that I will always type with a Yorkshire accent.
