There are such a load of good posts here by our experienced istockers, but in reading them I am frequently lost because of the terms used, from BM (I finally figured out this one) to PTOTW to acronyms that I can only summise means My Best Download Number In One Day etc. Is there an FAQ on the terms used here, or could we build one for us newbies - the definitive guide to i-speak?

I'm sure there's already a thread like this somewhere but I'll get you started (feel free to add):

BM - best match (default search algorithm on istock)
PTOTW - pimp thread of the week (each week a new thread is started allowing people to show off certain images)
IOTW - Image of the week
FIOTW - free image of the week
DOTW - design of the week
AOTW - artist of the week
BDE - best day ever
BWE - best week
BME - best month ever
BYE - best year ever
BFF - best friend forever (opps... thats from back in high school wink)
DL - download
OP - original post(er) in a thread
CN - creative network

There was a very long and comprehensive thread a few months ago answering the same question, you may be able to find it by using the forum search function.

Just got back from serious splurging on new Nikon 14-24 2.8 and new tripod. I just hope it's better than the 12-24 f4 I had traded in ...
