Do you hear that? It's the sound of nearly 10,000 audio tracks entering the iStock collection awaiting your ravenous musical appetite. The power chords of rock ballads, the roar of heavy metal, the smooth sets of jazz and the unique little samples, loops and sound effects are now for sale on iStockaudio.

Shake up your videos, podcasts and presentations with iStockaudio from 5 seconds to 4 minutes long starting at only 2 credits. iStock is now the only royalty-free stock site you'll ever need. You'll be hearing a lot more about audio from David Seeley (thepugnatious) iStock's audio content manager and Jeff Bray (aka, the other white meat)(bonesmear) as the collection grows in size and quality.

Basic – isolated sounds/instruments & sound effects
Detailed – short phrase with multiple sound elements

Here are a couple of things to bear in mind with regards to the introduction of Audio results into searches:

If you do a search with only the Audio box checked, you're going to see a whole new results page design. This list view will only appear if Audio is the only option checked - otherwise, you'll see the audio thumbs mixed in with other search results in the normal results layout.

When you're searching, be aware of your filters. If you have 'Find Prints' checked in your Advanced Search options, you aren't going to see any Audio results. 'People' and 'Extended Licenses' will do the same thing.

Because Audio is so new to the mix, it may, in coming days, be very prevalent in Best Match sorts. This will ease away as time passes. So please, before you complain about how Best Match unfairly favors Audio, just remember that it will be changing over time.

hey, all my files (7) are reprocessed for new watermark and they appear in a private lightbox. Everything looks like it should be. That's good!

Yes! The day is finally here. Rock On!

Only one question...I have over 1,700 files and my portfolio only shows 956...Will the rest of my files be joining my portfolio soon?

I am loving the list format ... REALLY well done and easy to search & listen to. However, from a customer's perspective it would be great to see the credit amount as a list item as well.

Awesome work everyone!

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE! The untold story here is the huge effort that has been the focus of so many here at HQ for a long time, that started with a vision (or was it a whisper?).
