Can exclusive video contributors put their videos on sharing sites like Vimeo, Flickr, etc, as long as downloading the video is disabled for others? I understand how it should work with photos (watermarking and such) but not sure how it applies to video.  Thanks

I searched in the forums and couldn't find the answer I was looking for ... so hopefully this isn't an über-repeated question!

Watermark it! The exclusivity agreement states that you can't give away stock work on other websites.  Uploading many un-edited clips that are identical in length and content to ones you wish to sell to a site like vimeo might be pushing it.  You can watermark video as easily as a photograph.

Thanks (yes, I understand the exclusivity agreement ) ... I just wasn't sure how easy it is to swipe video from a site like you can with photos (right-clicking, etc.).

Thanks! I just searched for YouTube and found what I was looking for:

rogermexico: "As a few people mentioned, we sell the license to use a clip, and that's what we retain exclusive rights to. Displaying isn't the same as licensing. So any site which just shows the video without giving people access to obtaining it is fine. That covers all the free video sites mentioned."
