Posted Thu May 13 8:52AM | yeah, I got it last nite too, darn it. I was so sure my issues had been solved - hopefully it's intermittent still and I have a chance that it will work later today. |
Posted Thu May 13 9:01AM | I am also receiving and error right now trying to upload.
Error.... Empty reply received from iStock

Posted Thu May 13 12:30PM | Is there any way to delete an image in Deep Meta? I just mistakenly added a series of images that I had already added and keyworded. |
Posted Thu May 13 2:02PM | my keywords issue has been resolved after deleting DM local data. thanks Franky |

I have a discrepancy in the dl's DM says I have and what iS says I have in my account. The discrepancy is only 2 but it never seems to correct itself. Is it to do with refunds? Thanks |
Posted Fri May 14 7:16PM | Wanted to share. I've discovered a strange thing. Prepearing for upload, I've moved the group of 15 files to the upload que, pressed "start uploading" and received the same old error. I restarted DM and tried moving the files to the upload que one by one. So far, 10 files went through without a hiccup. It means that I have to be near the computer to keep adding the files, but at least they are being uploaded! |
Posted Mon May 17 2:02AM | Uploading is still working for me. I've uploaded 5 images at once yesterday without any problems.
Fingers crossed....

Posted Mon May 17 3:40AM | I've just managed to upload one image and it's the first time I've been able to in more than 2 weeks. It was a single image, I'll try a batch soon. |
Posted Mon May 17 7:28PM | Halleluia! I finally got ONE to upload. It went on its second attempt. |

That's because it's an intermittent problem. iStock needs to fix this from their end (the iStock servers), and have reported to be looking into the problem. Thanks for reporting. |

Interesting. Please report back whether this systematically seems to fix it for you or maybe was just coincidence. I think it might be the latter... Thanks! |

Thanks What numbers exactly are you comparing? The total DL in the DeepMeta Statistics page, against your overview page here at iStock? I'm seeing a discrepancy as well: it seems that iStock does not count DLs on deactivated files for your DL totals. Never noticed that before. DeepMeta just takes the numbers from the iStock API server, and does not change them or anything, so all data we're comparing comes from iStock. We'll have to do some more digging to get to the bottom of this. If you (or anyone else) finds out anything more, let me know. Thanks for reporting. |
Posted Tue May 18 5:30AM | ^Thanks for reporting back Franky. I am comparing my total DL's in the DM Stats page against my account overview page. I know there can be a lag with subscription sales but the figures never seem to equal up. I have 2 de-activated files both with no dl's. Just seems odd though. I have had a couple of refunds. I thought that was the reason? Could it be to do with Partner Prog sales? I had a couple before I opted out?
Thanks for all your work.

Posted Tue May 18 6:04AM | ^^ To be honest, your guess is as good as mine. iStock does not document any of that, so we'll just have to figure it out ourselves |
 Posted Tue May 18 6:38AM | Franky,
I have been uploading batches lately and about every other batch there is one file that does not upload correctly. You can see either in the thumbnail or the full image, after batch is completed, that only a partial uploade occurred. Problem is now, I cannot delete from iStock for some reason ( I have already submitted the ones to iStock that are stuck).

Posted Tue May 18 9:01AM | Just got a batch of images uploaded through DeepMeta... looks like it's working (at least for now). Fingers crossed! |
Posted Tue May 18 2:29PM | Franky, I just experienced where my mr's were not uploaded correctly even though the file said it had an mr once uploaded to iStock. Not sure what happened. |
Posted Tue May 18 3:28PM | ^^ Yes, I've seen this as well: I was positive that the iStock page reported an uploaded file as "has model release", but got a rejection for having no model release for that file. The API even still reported the file as having an MR after I got that rejection!
This is an error that iStock has been trying to fix for over half a year now. It can also happen when you upload through the site... |
