DeepMeta (Mac OS X) - Manage your portfolio

Current features in a nutshell:
* Fetch your portfolio details from iStockphoto and view/edit them locally: sort and filter the results. When finished: upload the changes to iStockphoto.
* View the ratings and comments for all your files in 1 list, and sort by "date", "rater", "initial rating", "file was downloaded". Handy for tracking down those elusive latest ratings-without-comment.
* Automatically create thumbnail links between images of your portfolio.
* Upload new images, with support for multiple model/property releases.
* Editorial uploads are supported!

Thank you for the preview version Franky. Unfortunately it won't open. It bounces on the dock for about 30 seconds and then shows unresponsive. I am on OS X 10.5.6

Same problem here as Kevin russ... >> Mac OSX 10.5.6 > MacBook 2 Ghz 2 GB memory
Open apps: mail, ical, finder that's all!

In theory this is possible, but there are a few points to be aware of:

DeepMeta keeps the most up-to-date status of the files in your portfolio in a local database. If you run DeepMeta on 2 separate systems for the same account, each will have its own database.

It depends on what you intend to do with each system. E.g. if you always edit and upload on the same system, you should be fine. If you intend to do that on both systems, things could get trickier. Whenever you get to that point, please ask for more details.

If you can, I suggest to avoid this situation.

After the false start with version 1.4 Alpha 1, I have decided to take a slightly different direction with the test releases.

You will have to download and install the "Mono Framework" for Mac. This is a fairly big download, but you only need to do this once. For all subsequent DeepMeta releases, you will only have to download the small DeepMeta.zip file.

The final release of DeepMeta will not require the separate Mono Framework install, and will coma as a native Mac application.

Feel free to download DeepMeta v1.4 Alpha 2 and let me know how it goes.

Hello, first Happy Easter for all.
I am very happy to be so close to have Deepmeta on my mac, I was trying the windows version and love it. The sad thing is that I did installed the first version (that was available a few days ago, Alpha 1) and was crashing, now the second one, Alpha 2, is crashing too. I did installed Mono framework now but Deepmeta is still is not working. Bouncing in the dock a few times and quitting. Mac OSX 10.5.6, messenger, safari, photoshop opened. If you need more details about it ask me. 
Anyway still very happy to have it on my hard drive even if for the moment is not working

Thanks very much for your report.
I know that some people got it working, so it's not a general problem in this case.

A few things you could do:
- Delete the Alpha 2 version of DeepMeta (drag it to the trash), and also Alpha 1 in case it's still sitting there.
- In the finder: from your home directory, navigate to "Library/application support", and remove the "DeepMeta" directory.
- Re-download Alpha 2 (the Mono framework is OK, no need to reinstall), and try again.

Hi, I already did this a few times but is the same. Crashing. Curious what can be if a few people made it work

I've just installed and have had a series of crashes, I've tried site mailing you the crash logs but they seem to big to send!


I've seen other applications have an option to send crash logs directly to the developer and not Apple, I wonder if this is something that you could do, in the meantime shall I send you it by email?

2. How much memory do you have installed?

I installed Alpha 2 last night and all seemed well. (Excellent time saving piece of software, thanks) Will try it again tonight and report anything untoward if nesessary.


I am running the app in English, and have 1 Gig of memory if it's any help Franky.


 


On a side note, now that i understand a little bit better how the linking of images works, is there an easy way to 'unlink' some of the images, as i have lnked too many in a few instances.

^^ My Mac language is english and I have 4GB of ram, Dual 2Ghz PowerPC G5. Also if I can look in any log please indicate me where
