![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Apr 17, 2009 11:36AM | You guys crack me up. Thanks for having the forethought to post this, Kelly. It's based on a few lists of stock stereotypes and clichés, randomly stuck together. There are thousands of combination possibilities from the ludicrus to something with actual potential. Feel free to use it for laughs, inspiration or what have you. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Apr 17, 2009 12:04PM | Didn't we have something like this way back? With an image of bitter on the background? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Apr 17, 2009 12:06PM | Nice one Ras. Posted By Gewitterkind: Didn't we have something like this way back? With an image of bitter on the background? Yeah, that was Ethan's Slightly Insane Photo Editor (or something like that ... definitely insane though). Not sure if it is still online though ... off to look. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Apr 17, 2009 12:08PM | I will go for either "A sad elderly woman being creative" or "A sad elderly woman exercising" and when I ran out of grannies I will shoot "A sad blue collar worker enjoying a cool beverage" great! |

It's still around, but quite a bit different. Ethan's is hilarious and very iStock (read: attitude), whereas mine is actually meant to spark ideas (and be somewhat funny). I had forgotten about the old one, but it's still pretty dang funny. You can find it here: http://www.myersonphoto.com/private/istock/randomIdeas/ |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Apr 17, 2009 1:17PM | So, screen capture your idea page and then go shoot the three images and them post them here.... |
![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Apr 17, 2009 1:26PM | Thanks for the link, Ras! Both pages are great in their own way : ) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted Fri Apr 17, 2009 2:32PM | Love it, Ras! Nice work. The cool thing about using something like this (and to a much much much lesser degree, the one I wrote) is that - silly as random ideas may be, they often provide the spark for a much cooler or more practical idea. And the cool thing about that is that when you start off with a strong concept for the subject and setting of an image, the keywording practically handles itself. Keywording can be difficult if you just walk around shooting things. But if you come to stock photography with intention in your concepts (whether that intention was sparked internally, through Ras' tool, or some other way), the keywords write themselves. |
