Still no metadata on photos I've uploaded.
I mean ... how long does it take to fix this for heaven's sake? It's been going on pretty well all year.

Posted Sat Sep 5, 2009 3:12AM | Sorry, I havent gone back and read the whole thread, but why is it that Istock's upload doesnt grab the metadata, and for me at least hasnt for a very very long time, and yet everywhere else, not just stocks sites, RedBubble, Flickr, etc, etc seem to be able to manage it with ease? |

Ditto here |
Posted Sun Sep 6, 2009 4:33PM | No meta data read for me either, and when trying to use newer version of Deep Meta to upload, I get an Istock error 500 message. Any help, please. |
Posted Mon Sep 7, 2009 6:45PM | The metadata is usually hit or miss for me. Most of the times I can cancel an upload and resend it and it's okay. Today, I can't get any metadata at all. |
Posted Tue Sep 8, 2009 12:49PM | You know this is very discouraging, and i don't know what one is supposed to do when this is their fulltime job. I feel i haven't uploaded in months... i don't get how a cutting edge agency like Istock can't get this problem fixed once and for all. This is the only agency that has ever had this problem for me. Very very discouraging. I feel like my money is going out the window because i just don't have the time to fill the data of each file manually. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS.

Here here well said, on this particular point Istock seems like amateur hour |

I use firefox, mac OS 10.5 and all the metadata is not not in there at all, putting it in in Bridge CS3?
I'm a bit on the slow side, should it work, or not?
What do I need to do to make it work?

Posted Wed Sep 9, 2009 2:48AM | I share the frustration of all of you, I've been having problems for months, maybe even a year. Sometimes its fine, usually not. Sometimes in a batch of files one will work, the next doesn't, the next will. I also use other sites and never have a problem. I'm on a Mac using either Safari or Firefox - no difference, both have problems. |
Posted Wed Sep 9, 2009 11:11AM | Using Photoshop CS3 here....not working either...it used to work sometimes but last few days not a single file.... |

Please! Make this a priority to fix. I have been experiencing this problem for many months too. How about a button to "re-read metadata"? The way it is makes it 5 times slower trying to upload images using cut and paste. I prefer using the browser over DeepMeta. This should be an easy fix.
Thanks!

Posted Sun Sep 13, 2009 9:37AM | Hey I just found something that seems to work for Lightroom users. In the Export Dialog box, uncheck the option, "Write Keywords as Lightroom Hierarchy". This seems to have fixed the problem for me, hope it helps for you too! |
Posted Sun Sep 13, 2009 3:47PM | I also have a problem with metadata from time to time
