The second annual World Wide Photo Walk Day happens on July 18th. There are already walks scheduled all over the world including one I am leading in Portsmouth, NH USA. While it would be great to have a bunch of iStockers on my walk (it really is a lovely little city) I figure most folks will opt for a walk closer to (your) home.

I did this same walk last year and it was a lot of fun. A core of that group went on to continue meeting for a few more walks over this past year. A couple are local iStockers (MikeCherim and Bettle8).

These walks are purely social in intent. Very casual and end with a big group meal at some local restaurant. Oh there are prizes too.

If you decide to host a walk yourself or sign up to participate in another please post it here.

For anyone thinking of making a day of it in Portsmouth there are some neat things happening in town that day. The Bow Street Fair happens from 10-5pm. And the Busk to Dusk Festival is all around downtown from 1-7pm.

I did it last year in San Jose and it rocked! Lots of fun. I'm moving to SLC, Utah in a few weeks so I'm attending the one in that area in West Jordan ... Rich (leggnet) is leading the pack for that walk.

I drove through there many many years ago. Would love to go back and spend more time. Having grown up in the crowded East Coast I still remember being struck with all the straight roads in a grid ... like ... like it was planned instead of houses just kinda popping up all over like weeds.
