You guys can keep your weather. We've had a couple of weeks that were pretty consistently below freezing. I think Monday was the first day I bicycled home above freezing in a while but I don't think the coldest day was more than a few degrees below freezing. Monday moring was interesting, we had freezing fog. I had a nice layer of ice on my brake levers, gloves, and jacket. But I'll still take that over 16 degrees and snow. And my dog is less than a foot tall so he doesn't enjoy the snow much either.


ETA: Parker I do love that shot. It should sell well. Glad it's helping oyur bottom line.

Parker, great shot, and nice you have made at least one worthwhile sale recently!

There's been loads of snow (i.e. 8 inches / 20cm!) here in Birmingham England.
It's normally settles for a hour or 2 then melts here, but its stuck around for a week now, long enough to plan a couple of shoots, there's an image I shot yesterday here: https://www.facebook.com/EdwardShawPhotography

we've been way below zero for windchill lately, but today has gotten into the teens and up to 20 is forecast.  that, with a little pretty snow, is a beautiful day here!

Just coming home with some pics, Hamamelis in my moms garden, in bloom, but cvered with snw, some self portraits, senior lady pics. It was fun, and working with my photographer friend from Cologne was a real good experience. Now i am tired, but will go to choir rehearsal soon.

^Great shot Ed! Wish my snow model would sit that still for a portrait, for make-up...or just sit still for two seconds. Then again, I am able to pay her modeling fees with sticks, rock hard doggie biscuits, and grubby tennis balls.


We've been getting more snow today, but nothing newsworthy. Still quite cold.

What a coincidence! Lucky (dog) and I play a board game with that^ same name. Problem is she keeps eating all the pieces.

Glad you liked it Rye!  We sure did!  I've got 2 skateboarders (actually longboarders) in my family, so it's fun to see some history and stories there.

ETA - thanks everyone for the kind words about the Vicar/drunk twin image I posted a couple of days ago - it was my first attempt at compositing two images into one.  The individual images were both accepted - I wonder if it is OK to submit the merged image?

Kieran, I don't know if the merged would be accepted, but if not, maybe put that as a dropbox (or whatever) hosted image somewhere in your (About Me?) profile? And of course certainly link the two photos together on each of their detail pages.

I am goingb to disagree with Ted, I think the each image has it own theme and the combination of the two together is totally different. I think you should.

Forgot to add my congrats to you on that sale, Parker. Like Micah, that's one of my (top ten actually, if I had to count) favorite images here. Tickles everything it's supposed to with humor and sweet and awww and memories and everything else that's good rolled into one cute little wiseguy (in all the best senses) picture that just makes you grin.
