when we were out, we saw a person we know out on his bike, riding on the ice with these giant fat spikey tires. i wished for bravery to ask him to model for me, but i just couldn't muster that needed courage! |

Parker, I have bicycle tires with studs on them. They actually work better than regular car tires. I can ride across ice I wouldn't want to walk across. Now snow, that's a lot of work. Glad you guys are safe.
We haven't had ice since my kids got their driving permits. But when we do I plan on taking them to a big parking lot and let them learn what it feels like to slide. I can already tell you my son will love it and be too aggressive and I'll have to force my daughter to get the tires to spin. It'll be good for both of them though.

Steve that sounds like a challenge, I had to teach my kids to drive in torrential rain ... fun in its own way.
Parker I am like you, I have trouble asking people to model too.
Thanks Steve, we lost the roof off our little veranda .. that was rather spectacular, unfortunately I did not tak ephotos of it. A few small branches off the trees and one of the downstairs room is leaking ,,, I have to wait for things to dry up before I can do anything about it though. All in all it could have been a lot worse and the weather system is moving south ... the monsoon season has really started with something spectacular. We also lost power from Midnight till 3.30pm ... it could have been a lot longer so I am relieved.
Whoops on the wrong day Gary! I keep losing track lately too. (btw it is Monday here)

Eek on the sliding Parker, I probably would have walked too. I have slipped like that on wet roads.

happy monday all! (well, as happy as any monday can be...). I hope everyone is coming through their respective weather 'issues'. Snow was falling today, but we'll have 60 f (15 C) degrees on wednesday. Interesting winter.

Posted Mon Jan 28 10:22AM | Yep, pretty cold here early this morning with heavy snow and hail/ice on the way to workout. But it all turned to rain...and now is relatively clear and warming up a bit...you know - all the way up to like 34 degrees F.  |
