This was one of the cuter matches, loved the mice! Regardless of the outcome, I applaude the show!

Can't we have a SAVE for our FAV battle? I'd love to see them both go on and show us what more they can do!
So it'll be a mess on the tournament chart. But hey, we have Photoshop. We can do it!

8 - 9 = 17
7 - 8 = 15
This is a great set, both of you. I love how you stuck with a theme and tone and developed it together - it's a really collaborative battle, in the best kind of way. By responding so enthusiastically to each-other's ideas, you've made something memorable I think.
1:1 Even if this had been all we'd seen of the mice and their little world, I think this blow would have stood up really well- it's a really attractive piece and I love the colour treatment and lighting. Nice choices on the texture - it has a hand made look to it, like it really is a page out of an old children's book. Very nice.
1:2 This is a fun way to stay with the same characters and the same mood with some good variations - I like that you haven't tried to replicate the same style as the first blow. It's got a different visual identity which is good.
2:1 This is where it gets really good. You've taken what was good stylistically about your first blow but now you've given it this awesome content. The tin can rocket and the slingshot, the diagram - all of it is the best kind of imaginative. I love this.
2:2 Great response - I love that you've accepted the idea proposed to you here and have shown us the next step. It's good because its related to the rest of it but you get a chance to offer a whole new look - a new colour palette, a new feel. I don't even mind the text too much - normally I'm kind of opposed to comic book speech balloons, but in the context of the fun feel you've got here, I think it works.
I don't have a lot in the way of criticism for either of you - both of you have made really great pieces I think and yeah, I love the call and response nature of it. At the end of the day my favorite piece here is 2:1 and I've judged the rest of them against it. Nice work.
9 - 10 = 19
9 - 10 = 19
Gorgeous illustrations. This really comes down to being picky about lighting for me. Excellent job you two!
8 - 10 = 18
7 - 7 = 14
Some truly unique imagery in this battle. It looks like both players are trying to break away from the styles they developed in the last round of battles.
friztin R1: Eerie and cool. I'm a little bothered by the very strong yellow halos on everything. That effect looks especially out of place and feels quite jarring on the large tree and the beetle. It just doesn't feel entirely convincing that we'd be able to see a rim-light on BOTH sides of those objects. I'm also thrown by the out-of-focus fuzzy green grassy stuff, which seems disconnected from the depth of field for the rest of the scene.
AdamMichael R1: Beautiful background, and soft, peaceful, almost magical tone to this. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel as strong as your previous battle, which wowed me with truly splendid light and photoshop work. It feels as though you attempted to follow friztin's lead, and were dragged into an area where you cannot compete with nearly the same strength stylistically.
friztin R2 - SUPERB. The halos are still a bit distracting here, but it's clear that they're stylistic choices, and intentional, and they are more believable. Love the concept. Love the attitude. Love it.
AdamMichael R2 - I like the colors, and the sort of hyper-sci-fi tone, but this feels like a bit of a cop-out to me. The little speech bubbles aren't adding nearly enough to justify their inclusion, and the artistry of it simply doesn't compete with the prior work in this round.
All in all, this was a CLOSE battle, and I don't mean to sound harsh, as both players have produced very notable work.
