i was thinking to shoot some video when i go to Snowdonia shortly, the audio isnt so important right now, but later on i may want to try my hand at HD video clips, i have the 5d mk2 and looking at RODE shotgun.

Love the strat shot James - I have a black/white and a cream strat but never got round to shooting them.

I thought I'd pop in for one last 'pimp friday'...saw these icelandic ponies, I was quite pleased with the shot. (Later rode icelandic ponies across lava fields; what a country!)
I didn't ever upload the pic here, but the photo is selling well elsewhere

I had a decent Thursday (5 DLs) but nothing since.  I AM ON THE BENCH!!!  I am definitely looking forward to the new Best Match that will be launched on Monday!!

our dog Goose died yesterday during surgery for colon torsion

Sorry to hear Tom. Our dog died during surgery a few years ago so I understand. We put the best pictures in one of those small photo albums (probably the last pictures I have actually printed now that I think of it). It's on the coffee table now and it's nice to pick it up once in awhile and remember "the great times" we all had with her. Hard now for you and family, but maybe an idea to do after awhile.

So has everyone stopped uploading?  I actually uploaded a few on the weekend (with the hopes of the new BM helping new files) as I hated not seeing new material in my portfolio.  Here is my latest acceptance:

Wow...I haven't checked in here in a while. I have the day off and was looking on Facebook and saw something about this whole Google thing, so this is the first I am seeing of it. Not what I was planning on doing with my day off, but oh well


Wendy, I went ahead and sent you my email address. I also gave you a link to my Facebook photography page as that is a great way to keep up with the actual photo work I am currently doing. I had the thought that maybe we could all either add a personal website or our Facebook photo page to the list. Not our personal accounts, just our photo pages. That way we could still see what we are each up to and keep the same community feel going that way. Let me know if that sounds like a good or bad idea.

As for uploading, I haven't done that in a while, but it hasn't been because of performance, just simply a time issue.

I got a Rode for work. It does all right. Definitely better than the in camera, but I think I was hoping it would be a bit better. Probably just depends on what you need it for. For the price I think it's a pretty good mic though (but I'm no expert).

I've got a whole bunch of new landscape photos, not sure what to do with them yet.

On a positive note - since january 14th I've had a single XXXL Vetta subsale every day with the exact same amount of royalties. I was getting slightly suspicious and sent a message to iStock. Apparently they are legitimate and coming from a single long-time iStock customer. Someone must like my work smile. There's another one pending now from yesterday, I wonder how long it's going to continue wink.
