Description

In the old days, ss teeth decayed with old age, people had all their teeth extracted and replaced completely with dentures. Nowadays, however, emphasis in retaining one's natural teeth for as long as possible; so only if a tooth is beyond redemption is it extracted and replaced with a partial denture. This photograph shows such a mouth with just a single remaining natural tooth in the lower jaw and not many more in the upper.
