    Plug-in requirements & set-up

    2. Click 'Install plug-in' above.
    3. Read and approve the legal agreement.
    4. The set-up file (setup.exe) will download to your desktop, 'Downloads' folder or wherever you designate downloads to go.
    5. Double click the set-up file and the plug-in should install automatically.

    Do I need an iStock account?

    You don't need an iStock account to download the plugin, but definitely to use it. It's fast and free, so just hop over to here or click the download button.

    Where did my iStock plug-in download to?

    Help, I can't Login!

    On occasion, the iStock plug-in may not connect with our servers. Try these tips:

    1. Make sure you have an iStock account and that you are using the correct username and password. Or join for a free account.
    2. Check to see if iStock is up and running, our servers may be down for maintenance.
    3. Restart the application if the problem is persistent or try again later. Sometimes our site gets busy due to high traffic.

    Where are my files when I download them?

    You download the files straight to the specified location on your desktop. If you find you are having trouble downloading files, you simply may not have enough credits, iStock's currency. Go here to buy credits.

    How do I install the iStock plug-in for Microsoft?

    Here's a quick installation guide for the iStock plug-in for Microsoft. Remember, most PCs are configured a little differently, but follow these instructions and you should be fine.

    1. You need a PC. The iStock plug-in for Microsoft is only available for PCs at this time.
    2. Ensure you have Microsoft Office 2007 or higher for PC.
    3. Click 'Install PowerPoint plug-in' above.
    4. Read and approve the legal agreement.
    5. The set-up file (setup.exe) will download to your desktop, 'Downloads' folder or wherever you designate downloads to go.
    6. Double click the set-up file and the plug-in should install automatically.

    Help, I can't install the plug-in on my company's network.

    You may need an administrators help or permission to get the plug-in working on your machine. The plug-in should not need an administrator privilege but the requirements do. If you do not have the requirements installed then an administrator may have to install them.

    If you're downloading the plug-in on IE, you might have to set us as a trusted site.

    Your browser security settings will prevent you from downloading the plug-in.

    1. Open Internet Explorer
    2. Click on Tools -> Internet Options
    3. Select "Security" tab
    4. Click on "Trusted Sites" and then click on "Sites" button
    5. Add the following URL www.istockphoto.com
