Jiangxi, China - March 10, 2013: Colour photograph of local people using Procyon Pontoon Bridge in Ganzhou Jiangxi province. A pontoon bridge/ floating bridge is a bridge that floats on water and is made up of wooden planks placed on around 100 wooden boats linked together with iron chains. These bridges also have sections that can be elevated/raised or removed, to allow ships/boats to pass. This bridge provides a crossing across the Gan River (part of the Yangtze River via Poyang Lake) in Ganzhou, In the foreground are some planks that lead to the bridge, three people stand to the right of the entrance, people are walking on the bridge itself whilst on either side we can see the river and some boats that belong to the boat owners known as the Gan river people who earn their living by catching and selling fish to other locals and tourists. Across the river on the opposite side we can see office buildings and apartments.
