Jiangxi, China - December 19, 2012: Colour photograph of Dongjin Bridge, a Song Dynasty bridge in Ganzhou, Dongjin Bridge, is still in use today. It is 400 metres long, made up of wooden planks placed on around 100 wooden boats linked together with iron chains. It leads to the Haka/ Kejia village to one side and on the other side is the Ganzhou city wall which is said to date back to the Song Dynasty, as well as a number of pavilions and temples from the Ming and Qing. The boats that can be seen on either side of the bridge belong to the Haka/ Kejia locals of Zhanggong Ganzhou. The boat owners are known as the Gan river people and earn their living by catching and selling fish to other locals and tourists.
