Leeds, England - May 3, 2012: Ace of spades old playing card Jarvis Porter Ltd
Description
This is the ace of spades playing card from a pack sold by Butlin's Holiday Camps in around 1969. Its size is 2.25" x 3.5" ( 57mm x 89mm ), which is the slightly narrow size specified for bridge cards. On the back of this playing card is the legend 'Butlin's For Holidays'. The design includes the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland and the clover of Ireland.

The pack of cards was manufactured / printed by Jarvis Porter Ltd, Leeds 11, England. A number of out-of-date web sites still report the company at this address, but this printing works (owned by Jarvis Porter Group PLC) was acquired by CCL Industries in 2002.
