Description
Aerial view of people in Federal Hill which is a landmark in Baltimore City just south of the harbor. It has a history that goes back to the Baltimore riot of 1861, sometimes called the Pratt Street Riot, and is considered to be where the first bloodshed of the American Civil War took place. The conflict was between Confederate sympathizers and the Massachusetts militia on the way to Washington. It is now a peaceful park where tourists and residents can relax and look out over the Baltimore harbor. In the summer, people sit on the hill to watch outdoor movies shown by the American Visionary Art Museum.
