Description

An endangered Humpback whale breaching in Frederick Sound Alaska. With a couple pumps of their powerful flukes these large mammals can power themselves up out of the water. The whale is exhaling through it’s blowhole as it leaves the water and spray flies from the 15 foot pectoral fin. Humpbacks migrate between Alaska where they feed in the summer & Hawaii where they mate & give birth in the winter.
