Antibiotic resistance test reveals MRSA positive Staphylococcus aureus.

Four white, felt-like paper discs containing different antibiotics are placed on to a thin layer of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in a Petri dish. After some time of incubation the effects of antibiotic become visible by producing a reacting zone free of bacterial growth around the disc. The most powerful antibiotic is in the upper left. The lower left antibiotic (OX 5) has nearly no effect on bacterial growth.
