Description
Antibiotic resistance test reveals MRSA negative Staphylococcus aureus. Four white, felt-like paper discs containing different antibiotics are placed on to a thin layer of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in a Petri dish. After some time of incubation the effects of antibiotic become visible by producing a reacting zone free of bacterial growth around the disc. The most powerful antibiotic is in the upper left. Methicillin group antibiotic OX 5 also has strong blocking effects on bacterial growth.
