Aveiro, Portugal- January 26, 2013: the cargo ship Merle stranded on a beach near the Torreira, Aveiro, as a consequence of bad weather which struck in Portugal on January 19, 2013.
Description
The merchant ship Merle, with Cook Islands flag, beached south of the beach Torreira, Aveiro,
in the area of Muranzel. The 6 crew, of this 84 meters ship, were rescued unharmed.
Merle was a victim of bad weather, that started in the early hours of January 19, 2013.  When this expected storm reached Portugal, it caused a mortal victim, dozens of homeless and the collapse of many hundreds of trees. 7 days after the storm normalcy had not yet been restored to dozens of families because of the difficulty in restoring electricity. I made a series of 3 photos.
