Description
A female mountainbiker on her way in the upper part of the Kali Gandaki Gorge, Nepal. The gorge separates major peaks Dhaulagiri (8.167 mt, 2.795 ft) to the west and Annapurna (8.091 mt, 26.545 ft) to the east. If one measures the depth of a canyon by the difference between the river height and the heights of the highest peaks on either side, this gorge is the world's deepest. Due to the altitude of the surrounding mountain ranges the climate in this part of the gorge is arid.
