Haridwar, India - March 13, 2010: Blowing pilgrim at Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. Kumbh Mela is a Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather at a sacred river for a bath in the river. It is held every third year at one of the four places by rotation: Haridwar, Allahabad, Nasik and Ujjain.The pilgrimage is held for about 45 days at each of these four places. The festival is one of the worlds largest congregation of religious pilgrims. Millions of pilgrimsattend. They regard it as their duty to attend once in a lifetime.Marijuana is being used in excess during the Kumbh Mela. It is a popular drug during these events because it is believed that Shiva -a very important Hindu God who is worshipped by a lot- had an adoration for the leaves of the plant.
