Description

'Photographed on a lightly-patterned white surface. These two British pound coins show the same Celtic design, but were minted five years apart (2001 and 1996). The difference in colour shows how the metals used in the manufacture of these coins has changed over time. This is the reverse side of the coin, the one sometimes referred to as 'tails'. Photographed in natural light.'
