Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - October 9, 2010: The statue \"Christ the Redeemer\" (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor) is located on top of the Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, overlooking the city. The statue has become the symbol of Rio and of Brazil, besides being a symbol of Catholicism. It\'s made of concrete and soapstone and is the second largest Art Deco statue in the world.
The skewed image gives the impression that the sculpture is embracing the viewer. Perfect image to illustrate articles on Brazil, Rio de Janeiro and Catholicism.
