The Clarendon Building, a landmark Grade 1 listed building, is owned by Oxford University. It was built in 1713 to house Oxford University Press. Sanding near the Bodleian library, it has since 1975 become part of the Bodleian. It was designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor, Christopher Wren’s greatest pupil. Seven statues of the the Muses stand on the rooftop, although originally there were nine. Good copy space.
