Cupola of Old Town Hall (1753-1755), in the Centre of Potsdam, Brandenburg. Potsdam is the largest town in Brandenburg. In the past Potsdam was the famous Prussian Capital. View to a golden sculpture named Atlas. The cupola of the Old Town Hall in Potsdam (Germany) is crowned with a gilded Atlas bearing the world on his shoulders. The old town hall is located at the Old Market Square (Alter Markt) in Potsdam's historical centre. The figures are designed by Giese in the 18th century. Atlas is a greek Titan who held up the celestial sphere.
