Flying Dannebrog (The cloth of the Danes) is the eldest stil used national flag on planet earth. It fell from the sky during a battle in Estonia June 15th 1219 and was seen as a sign from God.A pennant is used whenever there is no fag on the pole e.g. at night and when you are not at home. In Denmark Danebrog is never on the flag pole after sunset.
