Description
The Death Valley basin is about 140 mi (225 km) long, bordered on the West by the Panamint Range and on the Eeast by the Amargosa Range. In summer the Death valley is one one the hotest places in the world with an average of 115? F (46?C) and a recorded maximum of 134? F (57?C), which is the 2nd highest ever recorded temperature in the world. Less than 2 in. (5cm) of rain falls annually. Badwater, the deepest point on the american continent, is 282 ft (86 m) below the sea level.
