Ancient decoration on the on the Huacas de Moche, temples of the Moche Culture? The Huaca del Sol and Huaca de la Luna are both adobe brick temples built by the Moche civilization (100 CE to 800 CE) on the northern coast of what is now Peru. The temples are two of several ruins found near the volcanic peak of Cerro Blanco, in the coastal desert near Trujillo at the Moche Valley. The Huaca de la Luna, is better-preserved but smaller than Huaca del Sol.
